Each balloon flight is controlled by weather; including wind direction and velocity. Flights are conducted from locations that will allow a suitable flight and down wind landing site availability. While flights are scheduled to launch from a pre-determined city, the wind direction may not allow for the flight due to air space issues with O'Hare and Midway, as well as landing sites for a 7 stories tall hot air balloon.
